I’ve been building and shaping tech products for over 12 years, taking ideas from concept to production. I enjoy the challenge of starting from scratch and guiding apps as they grow to reach a broad audience. Along the way, I’ve managed and led cross-functional tech and product teams, and contributed to company operations alongside executive and leadership teams.

Experiences

  1. VP of Engineering at Vanta

    2022–2026

    Built a COPPA-compliant esports platform from scratch, used by more than 3,000 K-12 schools and partners in the United States. Vanta’s platform is a one-stop shop for youth esports, including scheduling and roster management, chat, video conferencing, and identity verification.
    Grew and led a team of 5 engineers and 2 designers, serving 10,000 MAUs. The backend test coverage held at 97%, letting us ship features predictably at 99.9% uptime. Onboarded schools onto the system, talked to investors, and helped close deals. Vanta was acquired by PlayVS in January 2026.

  2. Senior Software Engineer at Codeminer42

    2016–2022

    Worked with startups and big companies across the United States, including Riot Games and Pipefy, primarily building and maintaining Ruby on Rails and JavaScript applications. Contributed to internal operations such as hiring, onboarding, and training new employees. Co-organized and spoke at local tech events to support the developer community and promote modern technologies and best practices.

  3. Software Engineer at Skillsoft Sistemas

    2015-2016

    Kicked off the migration of a legacy ERP system to the web using Python and Django. Dove deep into the entire process, from feature design and coding to maintenance and customer experience. This work attracted new clients to the company and expanded its product portfolio.

  4. Frontend Developer at Fixe Ideias

    2014-2015

    My first tech job. Had a great mentor who guided me on where and how to learn web development.

Health

When I was 2 years old I got a heart valve replacement. Luckily, I’m doing super great now and I don’t want to throw away this second chance.

I do as much as I can to stay healthy by running 3x a week. My next goal is to run 10km in under 50 minutes. I post my activities on my Strava account.

Startups

This is me when I was 18y pitching my first idea for reporting city problems to the local government.

I look at early stage startups that want to solve real hard problems and enjoy the journey of trial and error.
